I was hanging the washing out this morning and Aimee and Lily were playing in the lounge. I heard Lily cry and went to see what the problem was, and couldnt work it out, but Aimee had obviously done something naughty.

Anyway, half an hour later, I was looking at Lily and noticed she had massive red teeth marks in her cheek! Aimee also did this yesterday at the in laws. She wanted a toy Lily had, and when I said that Lily was playing with it, Aimee grabbed Lily's hand and bit it really hard. My mum also caught her trying to bite Lily's face yesterday morning, which she was told off for.

I obviously told her off and made her sit on the sofa and not move until she said sorry and realised what she had done wrong.

She starts pre-school in September and I am dreading her 'being the kid that bites'. She is such an angel when she is with other people and they dont believe a word I am saying.

I have really suffered with morning sickness so didnt keep up much disclipline at the time I was feeling rough and that added to being in hospital and being spoilt has just turned her into a little madam. I need to reign her in a bit now and sort the little terror out!

Poor lily! Lily loves Aimee so much too, it breaks my heart to see Aimee being so horrible to her.

The only thing you can do as you said is start to reinforce the discipline when she does anything wrong.

I could of written your post myself, word for word

Jess adores Isla, but Isla just thinks shes either a play thing, or someone she can use to get attention, either by pushing or pulling or snatching from!

We have had 2 bites aswell too....

It would appear that in every part of Islas life, shes starting to really push boundaries.

Ive got to get stricter (is that a word ), but I dont know how.

I just wanted to let you know that im here with you looking for answers, because im fed up of yelling at Isla to 'stop it'

If I were you I would remove Aimee straight away, tend to lily then return to Aimee and explain that its not acceptable to hit/bite/push etc and that she will stay there for 2 mins. Keep it short and sweet and ignore the tantrum that may follow, after the 2 mins get Aimee to join in playing and explain that 'We play nicely!!'

I know how you feel cos my little boy was 'The kid who hit!' I did the above and believe me I saw results in a matter of days, just stay consistant..Its hard when they are crying real tears aswel and I can imagine it to be especially hard for you with Aimee because of everything you've been through with her - but its for her's and everyone elses good in the long run.

Also, if you notice Aimee sharing with Lily - go over board on the praise for sharing..that way she won't feel like Lily's being favoured in any way cos she's 'little' lol and she probably start to go out of her way to please
