As you know I gave up my office job last September, cos my coccyx and hip pain was unbearable when doing that - sat down too long

Anyway since then the pain has almost gone away, just the odd twinge ... til this week..cos of course I've been sat on my butt sewing for a few hours each night

So now I'm in pain again...it's not bloody fair :-(
Had my first reminder of how it used to be when I got up after sitting down for breakfast, the getting up bit is always the worst

are you seeing someone about it?

I think you need to remind yourself you need to be moving about, so every say 20-30 minutes get up from your sewing and have a walk about or tidy something. see if that helps.

i agree with kell its important that u keep ur self mobile after a long period sitting

Nope not seeing anyone, cos they weren't able to do anything last time, had lots of xrays etc and said basically just one of those things that won't get sorted :-( Which is pants!

Makes no odds if I do move about unfortunately, I did that when i was trying to carry on with my office job, every half hour walked about, but was just the same - its just from sitting upright for so long in a day , regardless of how I seem to split up the periods..it's very annoying!

Maybe having another baby will reverse it

Sorry about your back pain btw, im just distracted now and want you to start ttc! If you caught this month you could have a late spring/early summer baby! Go on do it!!!! I think the forum leader should always have an under 3, would look good for new members to see you up to date with your info!

I don't think it's the pressure as such like normal coccyx pain, its more the position of being sat

I got mine from being stood, bent over for 12 hour shifts - SHUT UP YOU FILTHY MINDED PERVERTS!!!!

Still gives me gip over 7 years on.

Have you ever been to a chiropractor?? I've a bad back for years and it got so bad I went to see one (not cheap though ) but after a few sessions of manipulation and massage, my back was re-aligned and touch wood havent had a problem since xx
