| I never was a genius or anything but I did well at GCSE, ok at A-levels and have a degree. However since I left uni 4 yrs ago I have spent 2 years working in a shop and 2 years as a SAHM. I starting to feel a bit dim. Some ppl on my FB have debates about current affairs/the news and I find it hard to keep up. I never watch the news anymore, (Cbeebies wins), the height of my daily conversation is about the best nappys/what word Caitlin learnt etc. Do you ever literally feel your brain melting? Im dreading working in the childrens home as I feel like a right dumbo compared to ppl that have been there years/dont have kiddie brain fart syndrome! Im living in a baby bubble atm! |

| My brain is working as well as it should lol - although it did nearly fry at points when I was doing all the stuff in the background on here!
I am also useless at current affairs etc - I don't watch the news, I check online sometimes, but only occasionally - I don't have a clue who is at war with who, or what is going on really - tbh it doesn't bother me - I don't feel the need to know whats going on outside of my life that much!
My mum and dad HAVE to watch the news, and usually more than once - like 6pm and 10pm, and national and local...I just don't get why - its normally depressing stuff all the way through and then one happy tale at the end! |

| Im the same Lisa - I just scan through Sky News on my Iphone and pick out the celeb stuff or bits that interest me, lol.
I have days where I feel like my brain is fried.

| yep same here. I find though that these days I find it really hard to express myself verbally. Every bit of intelligence is mostly in my brain but I struggle to get it out of my mouth I think that's maybe due to 2 years of baby talk. I am looking forward to taking up studies again because I really dont want my mind to turn to mush and I love learning new things xx |

| i am a ditzy so and so anyway but believe it or not i do have 14 GCSES and 2 A levels, so i can't be that thick lol i think losing your identity, which is what basically happens when you become a mummy is the main reason why...other than on here, i don't have much conversation with many people, so therefore mama, dada, baba, ah ah, naughty etc etc are the main words i use...i'm nto working, so my mind is on nappies/wow thats a good bargain etc etc...xx |

My mum is aghast I dont watch the news or read a paper everyday. Unless something is mentioned on here or FB I have no clue what is happening in the world. Generally i think thats a good thing as it is usually depressing stuff that we cant change , but I hate being in situations were ppl are discussing things and im left out. Id no clue what was happening in somalia until my mum told me the other day. I think ppl look at me and think half the time they having an adult conversation. Id love to do a college course PT but cant afford to atm. |

| yes i deffinately am getting thicker as the days go on. I'd say i used to have slight intelligence but now im as dumb as they get. I literally feel like its a waste of time having my brain in my skull and i'd rather be 2lb lighter n get it cut out...... x |

| I used to be intelligent. I used to use long complicated words in everyday conversations. Now I use words like "poop" and "yay" even when not talking to Amelia.
I gave birth to my brain aswell as Amelia. |

| I'm like Meg, its all still there in my head I just cant express what I want to say - I also feel very uninteresting so just dont bother.
Hopefully it'll get better when I go back to work. |

| See I have to have a quick look at the news every morning and read a newspaper online everyday because I hate not knowing what is going on in the world, however, my brain is still mush! Words seem to disappear from my head all the time and despite going back to work in March, I still can't keep up in the meetings and stuff because my brain is never completely focussed on work. I think because I work part time, I'm never completely immersed in work and part of my brain is always on Stephen/baby etc xx |
