he is due dental treatment and we were given xray appointment to go and found out the place didnt do x ray appointments so referred back to original dentist to be referred back to first place we were sent to just another department
went back to dentist and decided he was to be referred to hospital to be put to sleep , 15 weeks later i get a phone call from a dentist in another town saying oh he has been reffered here to try him with laughing gas but we dont have an appointment for 2 weeks ,,, we were away on holiday that week so they are phonin me on monday to arrange appointment even though i asked why we were to go there as my son wont let them anywhere near his mouth hence the put to sleep option
sorry rambling this quickly
so last night the wee man was in agony , after pain relief he was fine and is again today after more pain relief
we were told at original appt he has no baby teeth left now having had a look in his mouth today where its sore ( he wouldnt let me look whilst he was in agony ) he has a tooth sprouting out of his gum on top of another tooth ,, a flipping baby tooth !
thinking this may just be where they pain is coming from !

Ah call NHS direct hun, Im sure you can see emergency dentist hun. He'll just whip the baby bugger out and pain will be over. Owens 6 and was put under on Tuesday to have 3 naughty wonky teeth removed his recovery was fab.
Seriously call an emergency dentist thats gonna ruin anyones holiday esp a childs

We have a hospital in Belfast that puts you to sleep and whips teeth out. In fact our local outpatients also does it with referal from dentist (My friends 6 yr old recently had 4 baby teeth removed in about half an hr with no probs after). Cant believe how awkward it is for you to get him put to sleep. He sounds in a lot of pain and it needs sorting now x

I hope they manage to get it sorted out quickly. That sounds like it would really blinking hurt!

i dont know what they are playing at ,, its a newish dental office we joined and they have had issues , 2 dentists finished on xmas eve and they have struggled to replace them , i firmly believe the receptionists have not been trained properly at all ,,,
he is outside playing now happy as larry but i will be phoning his own dentist as well as the ones we have been referred to on monday , may even phone the hospital that he is meant to have been referred to !
its 66 miles away as the one thats 6 miles away wont do filling whilst he is under and he needs a filling ,, their policy is if it needs work rip it out !!!!

TBH if its a milk tooth, Id whip it out too. Owen had one wobbly one taken out. and they looked at his front one which has a decay spot and I said no to that as his adult tooth would push through now and make the rest of his teeth loose and grow wonky. Is this the older son (about 11 from memory..) ??

yeah he is 11 ,,, its not the milk tooth that needs a wee filling hun its an adult one so i dont want it ripped out

rich had had to have an adult tooth taken out in feb, he was put under, he was checked in july and all was ok, checked in october and the tooth was bad, the dentist couldnt believe the decay in such a short space of time, so he on 4 monthly checks now.

in fact we waiting to go on the 18 of this month for him to have an assessment for laughing gas for a filling,

during that time he drank alot of fruit shoots, with his packed lunchs for school and kids club and we hadnt done it before, so he no longer allowed them all the time

hes also on a 18 month waiting list to have a hosptial appointment as one of his teeth is growing funny and he may need braces.

id call like you say you going too, sounds like they not sure on what to do

i hope he is feeling a bit better now hun x
