| Went to take Imogen up for nap this morning and saw we had a note through the door saying 'couldn't deliver package' . The time the note said he'd tried to deliver it was 11.30, it was only 11.15 when I got the note though. I'm so pissed off as he didn't bother ringing the door bell or knocking. We would have heard as we didn't have the tv on, and was only in the kitchen eating breakfast, not making a lot of noise. The car was in the drive so obvious we were in. Now we have to go to the next town to pick package up on Monday. I'll probs have to walk there as Matt will be at work during the times it's open. Thing is postman does this quite often, doesn't knock or ring, has just left package outside or with neighbours or sent to delivery office, but i've been in the whole time. The bell is quite obvious and works, why can't he use it?! or his hand to knock. Grrr. |

ahhh but that might be 2 different posties! We have the early parcel man who comes in a van - then we have the normal postie later with letters and packets! |

Was the postman that delivered the small parcels on a bike?? Postmen usually only take small parcels on the bike obviously they can only take so much and there would be vans going out delivering the bigger ones, maybe thats what happened? |

| Susan's right...if the parcel is quite large it goes out on a seperate van....but not to knock is just laziness, it was probably because it was a Saturday and they wanted to get done...
And Kayleigh I went into the shop in the village where I work and he would'nt sell me any milk, told me he had ran out..yet I could clearly see it in fridge under the counter!!!! |

| We had that 3 days before xmas year before last. I was heavily pregnant and it was proper maddening cos I then had to go out in the snow and ice adnd we didn't get hte parcel in time for xmas. Needless to say much fuss was made! The letterbox goes into the living room and to deliver they have to knock on the back door (to the kitchen) I'd gone in the kitchen to make a drink and by the time I was back the card was through - clearly no knocking had been done, they just hadn't brought the parcels round with them (it was the regular postie but the parcel was big enough to warrant the van - it was during the time they were quite behind with deliveries due to the snow). Stupid Royal Mail! |
