While driving on a rural end of the roadway on Thursday morning, I saw an infant car seat on the side of the road with a blanket draped over it. For whatever reason, I did not stop, even though I had all kinds of thoughts running through my head. But when I got to my destination, I called the Police and they were going to check it out. But, this is what the Police advised even before they went out there to check....

"There are several things to be aware of .... gangs and thieves are now plotting different ways to get a person (mostly women)to *stop* their vehicle and get out of the car.

"There is a gang initiation reported by the local Police where gangs are placing a car seat by the road...with a fake baby in it...waiting for a woman, of course, to stop and check on the abandoned baby.

"Note that the location of this car seat is usually beside a wooded or grassy (field) area and the person -- woman -- will be dragged into the woods, beaten and raped, and usually left for dead. If it's a man, they're usually beaten and robbed and maybe left for dead, too.

*DO NOT STOP FOR ANY REASON!!!*

*DIAL 9-9-9
*AND REPORT WHAT YOU SAW, BUT DON'T EVEN SLOW DOWN.

"IF YOU ARE DRIVING AT NIGHT AND EGGS ARE THROWN AT YOUR WINDSCREEN, *DO
NOT STOP TO CHECK THE CAR*, *DO NOT OPERATE THE WIPER* AND *DO NOT SPRAY ANY WATER *BECAUSE EGGS MIXED WITH WATER BECOME MILKY AND BLOCK YOUR VISION UP TO 92.5% AND YOU ARE THEN *
FORCED* TO STOP BESIDE THE ROAD AND BECOME A VICTIM OF THESE CRIMINALS.

THIS IS A NEW TECHNIQUE USED BY GANGS, SO PLEASE INFORM YOUR FRIENDS AND RELATIVES.

THESE ARE DESPERATE TIMES AND THESE ARE UNSAVOURY INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL TAKE DESPERATE MEASURES TO GET WHAT THEY WANT."

That is so shocking! Its a womans instinct to stop & help a baby As for the eggs I also think id end up flicking the wipers without thinking. Its terrible. xxx

i know its sick isnt it my first instinct would be to stop and get out to check if a baby had been abandoned. I never even thought about the egg thing. Of course, if your windscreen is obscured you're gonna stop and get out and try and wipe it clean x

That is just disgusting! What the hell is wrong with people? Moving to Texas where I can pack a overwhelmingly large hand gun under my seat!

You know..most decent ppl would stop when seeing a child or a woman who looked like they were in distress. Up here..its the unwritten code to stop..especially being so far from help and our cold winters. The only thing I would have a hard time doing is picking up hitch hikers up here. Even up here there are horror stories about that..that missing couple from Alberta who's burned out RV was found..they are on the brink of breaking it open..and the fella supposedly involved in their "disappearance" worked up here in the gas/oil fields!

My sis told me about this at the weekend, it's disgusting isn't it. We were driving along a county road at the time and completely scared ourselves sh*tless thinking about it.

another thing they do is put a flyer on your back window - you will get in the car start engine then see it get out to bin it and they steal your car or worse.

omg how scary. iv also read another one stuck on the notice board at work, men play a recording of a crying baby outside your door or window and when you go out to see they grab you.
another is white vans in car parks, park next to you and when you squeese through to get in you car the drag you in.
or at petrol stations they climb into your back seats so lock your doors ladies(although that one sounds like something off of urban legend lol) x

OMG it scary what we dont realise because we are decent human beings x
