if your child has an ear infection?

That's probably a really stupid question, but I have no idea. Last week Immi was rubbing her ear and she'd been a bit out of sorts, more cuddly, less hyper, sleeping more so thought she might be ill and said 'does your ear hurt?' to which she replied 'hurt, hurt'. It sounded like she was just repeating what I said and so I left it and she seemed a bit brighter the next few days so didn't worry about it. Today though she's keeps saying 'hurt, hurt, hurt' and touching her ear, so do you think it could be an infection? or is she remembering me teaching her the word and just repeating. Is there any way of knowing if she's got an infection without taking her to the drs or should I get an appointment in the morning?

I would get her checked out just to put your mind at rest. Ear infections are generally really painful but I know hubby had one recently that built up over 3 weeks so I would get it checked out just to be safe xxx
