Should i be worried _
PostSubject: Should i be worried   Should i be worried EmptyWed Aug 24, 2011 5:25 am

im starting to wonder if evan has a touch of OCD or if he is just a really clean and tidy toddler!

he freak out if he spills something whether its on himself or the floor or the table and straight away it has to be cleaned/wiped sometimes he just runs and gets a dishtowel himself to clean his spillages... or if we dont notice he has spilt something he comes and gets us and shows us and he wont continue eating or whatever he is doing until it is cleaned!!

the first thing he does when he goes in the garden is checks to see if the dog has done any poos out there and straight away this has to be cleaned! (this i dont mind would rather this than him touch it, and i think this may have came from the fact that we constantly check the garden if the dog has been out there)

he always wants to help with the cleaning like today i was polishing and he had to help and do his own table and when i went to put polish stuff away i came back to the living room to find this

he had hung up his dirty mr muscle polish wipes to dry all neatly!!

just there i was out bringing in the washing and when i returned i found this

I wouldnt worry chick, he's obviously just copying what he sees mummy doing and raising a house proud boy is not a bad thing Laughing Cerys does like to wipe over things now and again. My friend's toddler (2.5yrs) is the same as Evan. He hates having dirty hands and always wants them wiped and doesnt like dropping food down himself either xx

Amelia is quite similar too, so I'm going to say it's normal and great! Should i be worried 827557 I was a bit worried about Amelia too as when she had a cold she would freak out if her nose ran and would demand a tissue. If she drops something on the floor she wont settle until it's be cleaned up. She's obsessed with baby wipes and has to have one to go to bed with in case of a runny nose in the night

Imogen is really into cleaning at the moment. She'll go grab the mop or dishcloth if she spills something and won't stop saying sorry. If it's not something she can clean she'll yell and fuss till I sort it out. She's got really into washing the dishes and surfaces recently too. She's also obsessed with washing her hands too. I think it's all quite normal for their age. I talked to some people at toddler group and they said their children were similar.
