just tax, it seems i am on the new 'OT' emergency tax code (working there since march ) i guess because they lost my p45 originally, i thought it was sorted though.

Give the tax office a call, if they not ave your p45 you'll need to complete a p46

I'd chase it up. Adam had to do that when he last changed jobs. Was quite good actually because they also discovered he'd been being taxed wrong at his other job too and he got loads of money back

Speak to the tax office make sure you have the companies PAYE ref number as this will link you to them as a company and will make things

cheers ladies, i have already contacted the company 2 months ago and they said oh yeah we have found your p45 its sorted now, evidently not (just got my 2nd payslip since then) hmph. oh well its a few extra pennies eventually i will try and get chance to give them a ring this week.

What tax code have they put on you pay slip?

You can ring the tax office yourself to sort it out if work aren't doing it. I had to do it in my last job as I kept being told it was being sorted and it wasn't. They sorted it out quickly and I got double pay the next month as it was all backpaid

ok M1 is month 1 so they are taxing you on a month 1 basis which is wrong.

and Tax code ‘0T’ means your allowances have been used up or reduced to nil and your income is taxed at the relevant tax rates.

so if i were you i'd not wait for your employer to sort and get on the phone and get it sorted yourself.

as i said before make sure you have your PAYE number.

yeah i have it on my payslips, if i ever get chance to phone during normal working hours i will pesky toddler! i definitely haven't earned over my limit so i assume they are taxing as high as possible cos my employers haven't sorted out my p45
