| We got locked in our bedroom! I'd just fed Joshua and went to go to the toilet but couldn't open the bedroom door. The handle was going down but the little metal bit wasn't coming back. I woke Matt up thinking I was tired and being stupid but he couldn't open it either. Luckily he keeps a couple of penknives in the drawer by his bed so was able to unscrew the handle, and then pry the metal back and open the door. It was actually really scary though as was imagining Imogen waking up and screaming when she couldn't get in our room. Or what it there had been a fire? Obviously we would have had to kick it down but would have happened to Immi is that time and what if I had been on my own? When we inspected the handle after we could see it had obviously broken at some point before and the previous tenants must have repaired it but putting nails through it that had completely screwed the mechanism so i'm surprised it didn't happen before. |

| ^Definitely. In reality it wasn't that bad, although it was worrying when it was taking some time to pry open but I was just stressing out worrying about how it could have been worse.
Sorry Michelle I had to laugh at your stuck naked in your bathroom although it would have been scary |

| Don't blame you for being scared for a few minutes there!
On a more humerous note, we were at my sister's one day and OH was taking aaaaages in the bathroom. All the poo jokes had run dry and his cup of tea had long gone cold before he finally emerged looking rather flustered. Turns out the door handle had come off in his hand and the middle bit had fallen out the other side. He'd been trying to phone me but I don't get any signal at their house so he'd ended up improvising with one of my nepphew's bath toys! |
