Yep it'll probably be Pearl lustre spray. They do other colours too; http://www.cakecraftshop.co.uk/shop/8/104/473/index.htm I used it on some in my FB pics I'll tag you in it so you can see if it's the same stuff |

| Kate you can also buy edible glitter then you just sprinkle it over the top or mix it in with the buttercream Pepper I did a very basic tinkerbell cake, it wasn't one of my best but the little girl liked it and very very simple to do |

| that's edible glitter Kate, you can get it in loads of different colours, just mix it in with the buttercream, the more you put in the stronger it looks |

| In that pic it's edible glitter but I think if it was finer and more subtle I think it was Luster spray |

| this is the one I use Lisa. I've no idea if it's nice as i don't eat fruit cake! I've been told it's good by other people though. One thing I will say is you need to double line the tin for fruit cake, so line the inside completely twice, stick the sheets together with cake release, then wrap the whole tin in greaseproof or foil as it stops the outside cooking faster than the inside. I also find that my cooking times are reduced by around 15% on there recipe if you have a fan oven

| hey, im barging in does any one else use silicone tins/cases?? i find witht hem i get my sponges perfect every time. i was given 5 packets of the mixtures stuff form tsco, u know the one u just add egg or water or something, i cant remember off the bat now!! how come they NEVER work out! i always use my own mixture, gettin loads of air in to them. i try this with that mixure and they still look like bleurgh.. flat. is that just me it happens to ? i need new treats and im fed up with the supermarkets. i like shops i can walk into and see what im buying when it comes to treats things, for cakes. iv been asked to make a wee guys 2nd birthday cake. similar to what i had for alasdairs first. iv never used fondant before, what does every one else use? do u make it ur self or buy the ready to roll stuff? is there a trick i need to know about to get it round the corners without crinkling?? i wanna start experimenting! iv been watching too much good food channel tv!! |

| Laura I have never tried a silicon case before, may have to now you've said they're good.
I always use Regalice Pro Fondant. Just make sure that you give it a good kneed 1st. If you're going to use coloured fondant I recommend buying it pre coloured as I find mine cracks a bit when I colour it myself. This little vid shows good technique that you can apply to a square cake; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mp1pOvCvjmM |

| Tesco do their own fondent - good for practice runs - comes in two sizes Think they do a ready-rolled too but not tried that (it's wrapped up in a box like clingfilm / tin foil) x |

Laura both Mandy and I have used this site multiple times and they're great. All of my items have come with really good use by dates too. You'll probably not get Regalice pro in a supermarket but like Grace mentioned they will have another brand that you can try. If you have a local cake decorating shop it's worth going in there as they'll deffo stock it x |

| i went and had a look. decided im gonna be adventurous and bought 2 boxes of silver spoon mix ur own stuff!! not happy with my new piping tube get to the end and the nozzle and the slopping bit are still filled with buttercream and the wee plunger dont fit down that far... grr... gonna stick to proper piping bags! ill take a look at that site. im thinking on going back to colege in jen, just evenings and doing a wee baking course. i never really realised it was such a big thing. iv been making the basic cakes and the likes since i was a kid. im better at actual puddings and im deffo more of a savoury cook |

| Here are some new ones from me. Baby themed cuppies. Not happy with them as they were very short notice and I didn't have things in that I needed; A going to Ireland cake, you can't see in the pic but the board and each tier are a different tone of the same green so looked better irl. The little spray I made couldn't be put in until it was at the venue; Cuppies I made for work on my 30th birthday; |
