hi ladies..my jamie is nearly 2 now but just been readin your birth stories and ive never wrote mine down so would actualy like to..
here goes..i was due 12th dec and over a week later still no sign of baby however had been 3cm dilated since 11th!! anyway on the 15th i started havin pains but they werent to painful and nothing regular so just carried on as normal!!
then thurs came and they started to get stronger and almost unbearable at somepoints so i decided to head in 2 hosp 2 get checked over at around 5:30pm..when we got there i got checked and was 5cm dilated and havin stong contractions but the time gapbetween them would vary! MW told us we wouldnt be leaving without a baby and she thought it would be here by 3am at the latest! anyway at midnight i got checked again and was still 5cm and the contractions were comin less and less so i was put on the ten machine and OH was sent home 2 get some sleep and told 2 come back in the morning! i HATED being alone in there!!
so morning comes and contractions had gone complelty...great!! so OH came back and picked me up and we went home! that afternoon we decided to go on a walk to the shop. once we got there i was curling over there freezers in pain and said we best get home! so we set off back (should only take 10mins and took us over half hour cos i had 2 keep stoppin).
wen we got home i was determined not 2 go back in 2 hosp till they were 5mins apart so we ordered a spicy takeaway and i remember just walkin up and down the room stuffin it in my fac everytime i had a break from the contractions haha..so at 7pm i said it was time to go in but oh's grandparents were comin 2 drop a homemade knitted blanky off for the baby so had 2 wait ffor them! i had 2 go in the bedroom cos i cudnt talk i was in that much pain and they were chattin 4 agess! evenutally i had 2 come and say we need 2 go and they were just laffin like it was an everyday thing! lol
so we got 2 hosp just after 8pm and i was 8cm dilated at this point..went straight on gas n air which was AMAZING!!! was having strong contractions and by 11pm was ready 2 start pushing..as i was pushin babays heartbeat started 2 drop so they were shoutin at me 2 push harder which paniked me more! had 2 have an eptipsomy (mite be spelt wrong) and little jamie was born at 11:28pm on 18th dec!
established labour was only 34 mins i think they wrote and i had 2 have stiches but it was truley the best expercince in the world!! and i cannot wait to do it again..i must sound crazy!!!
sorry for the long story ive neever writen it down before so wanted 2 get it right! Jamie is going to be 2 in dec and i cannot belilve how quick its gone!! xx
