| We always spend the same amount on everone
Ceejay and Gracie get about £100 each Parents get £30 each Siblings and their partners £20 Nans £20
Nieces and Nephews £30
so overall its about £660
does that sound really tight as we used to spend about £1,500.00 on everyone easy when i was working full time, also I have bought some bits for the kids off of buying and selling sites granted they are sealed or in new condition but honestly i feel tight at this time of year |

| You don't sound tight at all.
We spend about £20 on our parents,
£10 on ohs sis and bro and bil
£25 ish on nieces nephews.
Ellie will get about £100 and my eldest daughter who is 21 gets about £200 as shes an adult now and earns more than me and my middle one paul (14)gets about £500, as the stuff he wants is Megga expensive and his clothes are expensive too
It varies what oh and I spend on each other depending on what we want. He generally spends more on me as he earns a lot more than me.
I pay for us to go out for lunch on Christmas day which is around £500 (I put a bit away each month for this). Oh puts a bit away each month which covers most other things.
Me and my sis don't get each other anything as we're usually both skint and the arrangment suits us both.

| I always end up spending more than I intend.
Stuart £150-£200 Caitlin £100 (though Stuart was a tit this year so it nearer £200 which im not impressed about) Our mums £30-40 each SIL £30 SMIL £20 FIL £30 Neices and nephews x3 £15 each My cousins x3 £10-15 Distant cousins x2 £5-£10 Aunty £15 Uncle £10 Granda £10 Friends children x4 £10
That adds up to.... about £700!!! Thats more than id have said & also if I saw something £5 above budget id prob just buy it to get that present sorted.
I dont think you sound tight at all. I think thats an ave amount per person.

| You are not tight. I really am lol
I spend about £50 on Imogen (this will probs increase over the years but at the mo I don't want to spend more) we will spend the same on Joshua or near enough
£10 on our nieces and nephew as well as my two youngest cousins £10-£20 on parents and grandparents and my sister &her boyfriend
We don't buy presents for Matts bro or sis (we all agreed to just buy for kids) or his grandparents and cousins (not that close to them)
We buy each other a sack of lots of little bits so probs £50 each
So all together £350-£400 if I worked it out right |

| We are going to sound uber-tight then, because we are just so cash strapped this year its unbelievable.......our money will be going on our kids, and nowhere else.
Prob about £100 each child, and something for the parents.....everyone else is not a priority this year.
That sounds mean, but I am having to be.....we cant have credit, and im not borrowing for one day, so it can only be what we have left in our bank at the end of each month.
There will be a new set of pj's, and an outfit for xmas day for the kids too.
Sigh............. |

| on the kids it's whatever we can afford and can find that we think they'll like, rather than setting aside £100 etc
on sam i end up spending about £300-£400(he never spends more than £100 on me though)
on siblings, it used to be about £10-£20 on each and their partners, but because there are so many of us, and so many kids to buy for we now just do a secret santa instead, so only end up paying about £25
for the rest...again, no set amount, just whatever we find that we think they'll like |

| hannah - we have finished hers and added it up and it costs us 210. that was adding in an extra doll at 50 quid that we wernt going to get but ended up getting. so could have been less but there you go. my mum - about 80- 100, just depends on what I get her really. but she does a lot for me and spoils hannah rotten. my sis - 50 ohs bro - 50 his mum - probs same about 50-60 my cousins x 2 - 50 each (well thats what I tell oh once I buy all stocking fillers like pjs etc it probs adds up to more but Im very close to them. actually thinking about getting the eldest the new kindle this year which is 90 but if I do she will be getting NOTHING else and I plan to stick to it lol) aunts and uncles x 5 - 10-20 each ohs cousins - 40 each my work secret santa - 20 my friends little boy - about 25 me and oh set a limit of 50 quid on each other. so thats about 700 - 800. I honestly thought I spent way more than that im shocked. I suppose by the time we add on food and stuff over xmas its a lot more. we always have dinner at my ohs mums but we pay for it as shes skint. x |

| I used to spend hundreds, but when we had Aimee and I went part time and then had maternity leave again with Lily (and again with this one, lol!) it just got silly. We have cut ours right down.
Aimee & Lily - approx £100 each but try to get some bits through the year so it doesnt hit us.
Eachother - £50
Parents - £40 per couple (we have an agreement with my mum and step dad that we dont bother and we just have a nice meal or something after Xmas).
Nieces/Nephews (8 of them) - £10 each (used to be £20 each but it got silly with so many to buy for so had to cut it down)
Brothers/Sisters - £20 (this is for James's as we agreed with mine that we will buy each others kids rather than gifts for eachother that we will just shove in a cupboard and never use)
I used to worry so much about what we got, but I really dont anymore. As long as my babies have a wonderful Xmas and I know we have done right by them then im happy x |

| I'm dreading it this year as I'll have to buy for Dave's family on my own as previously I covered my side and Dave did his.
Amelia £200 My Mum £100 Amelia's Grandma and Grandad £30 Amelia's Aunt and Uncle £20 Amelia's Aunt and BF £20 Dave and GF £20 My Grandad £20 Friends LO £15 Boxes of biccies for friends £20
That's all I can afford so all that will get anything! I've already bought most of Amelia's which is good as I've not touched the xmas pot yet. |

| Oh lord, we're so mean.... and we both work full time... (then again, we do have 2 mortgages still....)
I've been saving up all year - trying to put £10 a week aside, but sometimes not been able to, didn't when on holiday etc, plus I save my Boots points up as well - we'll have about £450 total to spend. I don't think we'll get eachother much this year - it's not about that really, it's about treating Imogen and appeasing everyone else! |

| I have to say though, every time I look at that ticker, it makes me feel a bit sick in my stomach. The stress of it all is horrendous. I wish we could jut go through life treating people as and when we saw something nice, rather than having to go all out at calendar-specific events. |

| Erm not sure. I've seen the things we are getting Rowan so will just buy them. But his birthday is 3 days before Christmas so it's maybe more expensive this time of year. I think top of head £150 for Xmas and £100 for his bay. Hermione about £50-£60 Trev no limit will just buy what ever prob about £150-£200.
That's it he's buying his brothers and SIL stuff |
