ughhhhh so we got an absolutely adorable duvet cover from john lewis for elijah, but its SO crinkly, seriously it sounds like a packet of crisps

i have washed it with fabric conditioner and tumble dried it and its still the same - the bloody thing has woken him up numerous times.......

does anyone know how i can a) un-crinkle it, or b) find a nice soft un-crinkly cotbed duvet cover?

No idea how to uncrinkle it - i assume its 100% cotton?
I try to bed polycotton bed sheets as they dont crease and they are softer

hm will look for some of those then, i wrote an email of complaint to john lewis but it's a bit tricky to use the words 'rustly' and 'crinkly' in a formal context so who knows what they will make of it

Have you looked on ebay? There's loads of shops on there that do them. I had to get Jamie's cot ones from there because not many do the smaller size

Ive never bought anything polycotton that isn't soft! But I do have some 100% cotton that are crinkly...so tbh I think if you get polycotton you cant go wrong!

good plan lisa, thanks (we have some ikea ones which were really cheap but they are soooooooooooo soft and warm i bet it's cos they were rubbish quality)

I'd be peed off at crumpled thing as I hate ironing and it would bug me it always looked crinkly. But I hate soft bedding, I much prefer crisp cotton.

haha thanks for that! in summer i do like crisp cool cotton, but it is so bloody noisy i have enough trouble getting prince elijah to sleep! i think he would like it better if it was cosier.....rargh
