What tog of duvet do you ladies have for your LOs? (those that use them).

Thomas has a 4.5 tog one at the mo but it is starting to get cooler at night now so I have given him an extra cellular blanket incase he gets cold. Most the time its just thrown to one side but he does sometimes use it. I'm just worried he's getting chilly in the night (I know I am and we have a 13 tog on our bed Shocked - can't believe Im contemplating putting the heating on in August!). He always has at least two primark blankies in with him too Rolling Eyes

I have seen a 9 tog on amazon - do you think this will be warm enough for him throughout the winter with maybe an extra blanket?

Is this for his cot?

Oliver had a 4.5tog for his cot, but now has a 4tog for his bed. He wears his full pj's and socks, has 2 primarks blankies too but still kicks the covers off..I've just been up and he was a tad warm, but is room is at 22c.

I didn't think you could get higher tog duvets for cots tbh.

If I were you i'd just offer the extra blankets for now until he goes in his big bed maybe

Yeah it's for his cot bed Zee. Even when I take the sides off (Im not brave enough yet Embarassed ) he will still have the cotbed size duvet. They seem to come in 4.5 or 9 tog which is why I thought the 9 was for winter?

It's only 19 degrees in his room at the mo which I know is perfectly acceptable but both my kids seem to like to be snuggled up warm. They have both been in vest and full pjs right throughout the summer (apart from a couple of weeks in june when it was really hot). I always find Thomas wrapped up like a sausage in his primark blankies and under his duvet (dunno how he even manages it tbh?) and he whinges in the night if his duvet gets too scrunched and he cant get back under himself.

Have you thought of getting a full sized single duvet for his cot bed, I think thats what Susan did for Libby in her toddler bed. Thenit can be tucked in, maybe keeping the heat in a little.

If its a cot bed though it wouldn't exactly be a waste of money getting a 9 tog one as he'd still be in that bed some time yet.

What I have done is buy a 4.5 summer one, and then the patchwork quilt I made has 4.5 tog inside too - so I will put hat over the top for the winter, so that would be like a 9tog
