over the last few weeks I've been getting a lot of pain in two of my fingers (same finger, different hands), they've both developed soft lumps on the top knuckle which are painful to the touch . I've made an appointment at the docs buts its not until a few weeks. Any idea what it could be?

picking your nose too much??? I get lumps on my finger joints now and again, especially when the weather gets cold. Don't know what it is though

lol its not warts char, Lisa its the fingers next to my thumb, I have a feeling it might be arthritis, we'll have to see what the doc says.

Yep..My guess it's arthritis. Have it too, and in most of my joints now. Not crippling, but it defo get's your attention when you are doing something. Advil, hot baths, and keeping the parts moving is the best advice. Can also use glucosamine/chondroitin supplements to lube up the joints and even some of those topical rubs help. The non scented, as BenGay..is stinky! x
