| How do you manage to cut the finger and toe nails of a wriggly toddler?
It was easy when Wil was a baby I just did them while he was sleeping. Now it is a major chore and like painting the forth bridge.
I use baby nail clippers and only manage to do his toes by pinning him down and gripping his foot so he can't wriggle but most times he screams.
I do his finger nails while he is asleep so have to either lean over the cot or struggle between the bars. I generally manage 2 or 3 nails before he rolls over and shoves his hands where I can't reach them. It can take me a whole week to get them all done and by then the first ones need redoing because they grow so fast.
Anyone got any tips on making it easier? |

| Eh a tad terri , but all good for you! Gill I havent much advice. Caitlin is a nightmare too. I can almost get away with using baby scissors to do her fingernails when she is awake if she distracted with tv. Her toenails- no chance! My mum had to hold her last week while I filed them (scissors were too risky!). Im trying to let her play with the nail file and hopefully soon she will see it as a game? Im clutching at straws I know! |

| i know eli isn't a toddler but he grows claws in the space of days! best thing for now is a baby emery board, i used clippers once and snipped the end of his finger, so never again! i couldn't bare him to look at me the way he did that day!!! |

| I use the little scissors that come on a small penknife, just right size. I do them as quick as possible and generally the boys are fine but H hates having his toe nails cut x |

| I also do it after a bath while shes watching tv. Fingernails shes pretty good with but c's toenails grow downwards so it hurts to have em clipped-it also hurts if i leave em though cos they grow into her toes so i have to just pin her down and do it |
