I work 2 and a half days a week at the moment (Mon, Tues and half day Weds) as I do a job share, but in Jan i am changing it to 2 days one week and 3 days the other week.

That means that although I have to work 3 full days one week I only have to work 2 days the next week. I am supposed to finish at 1.30 but never get out on time and by the time I pick the girls up and get home it's usually going on 3pm at the earliest . So I talked to my manager and the girl i jobshare with and we all agreed it would be more productive to have 1 person doing a full day than 2 people each doing a half day.

Something to look forward to in January!! Woop Woop!!

thats really good - know what else will be good when your on your two day week and the monday is a bank holiday

great !! thats exactly the days i do. yeh watch the bank holidays though, where i work we have them off but as a part timer i have to give a half day back x

Minimeg I thought I might have too, but in the letter that confirms my new hours it clearly states 'You are only entitled to the bank holidays that fall on your usual day of work' and states nothing about owing any back.....I have kept a firm hand on my copy!!! Mwah ha ha ha!! LOL

Fab. For that reason with the bank hols im going back 3 full days - Tues, Wed and Thurs. So if we have bank hols on a monday or a Friday i dont have to pay them back! x
