Do any of you have special songs for your kids?

caelyn- as long as i can remember ive sung her baby mine right from being a bump and she will still ask me to sing it to her now if shes tired or upset and her bedtime music cd has it on there.

when awen was born ive sung it to her a few times but its never really seemed to settle her the same way so shes not really had a song til this last month. Was listening to my radio one cd in the car and found i kept relistening to Betcha By Golly Wow and it really made me think of awen. So when she was being fractious I sang it to her and she really settled down and laid rubbing my face with her hand.

Guess ive gotta change the bedtime cd now...

I used to sing Lullaby by Lemar and Phil Colins Groovy Kinda Love.....even though they are about men/women loving each other I still love them lol.

aww thats sweet, I don't have a song but then my singing voice is far more likely to scare small children rather than soothe them

Amelia LOVES Iris by the goo goo dolls. Has done since she was a bump. She also really likes Captain Crash by bon jovi. Much to my horror!

Her absolute favourite though is 'Jingle bellls Amelia Smells, lovely all the time' Followed by various made up lyrics. Only if my mam or dad sing it to her tough. I have resorted to getting my mam to record it for me Send her straight off to sleep.

mike used to sing a frank sinatra song when danielle was a baby and not settling at nights ,, i cannot remember it now but its like ,, somewhere beneath the sea

kayleigh . i never played danielle iris but it is my all time favourte song so i listened to it quite alot and i notice whenever it come on she stops and looks about x

I always say me & Caitlins song is Beyonce Halo as it was out round about the time she was born and I used to swing her about to it lol. The words are quite meaningful too -

i am with stuart on this one i hate mariah carey with a passion ! im sure shell will applaud you , if i remember correctly she is a huge mariah fan :0)

Her fav non nursery rhymes are Down with the Trumpets and Barbra Steisand by Duck Sauce - she just says oooo oooo ooo to that one!

These are Ellie favourites too. Along with twinkle twinkle.

Ellie is a you tube addict and loves London bridge is falling down. When she was little oh used to sing hush little baby.

i know this is probs a bit wrong but Jamie is obcessed with "sexy and i know it" by LMFAO!! everytim it comes on he puts his hands on his head and wiggles like they do in the video! xx

Callum just started to love nursery rhymes his favourite two are wheels on the bus and ring a ring a roses.

non nursery rhyme is calvin harris- bounce he will stop whatevers he doing when the songs comes on untill its finished x

Harry loves anything by Sam Gray, as soon as he hears him singing he starts dancing!! He also loves that Twinkle twinkle song off the car ad lol xx

I don't know about a special song but from very early on five little ducks has settled Jamie so we sing it when we're cutting his nails, etc
