False labour, how wonderful! _
PostSubject: False labour, how wonderful!   False labour, how wonderful! EmptyTue Nov 08, 2011 8:50 am

Since 3pm iv been having pains on and off, a few were bad braxton hicks but mainly a nippy/nerve pain at side of my belly button. For last 2 hrs iv had braxton hicks on and off, the nippy pain, kicks to ribs, backache (bath eased that a bit) and now I feel like throwing up.

If I thought this was labour Id be ok with it (Utter lies Laughing ). Im now stressing that the last 4 weeks are going to be like this and am now understanding why some mummys have had false starts for weeks before baby comes. It isnt over reacting, I now realise how bloody uncomfy it is!!! Wasnt like this 1st time round.

Iv had a wee wobbly cry to stu about the state of the house/how unprepared we are. Its like a wake up call today. Doesnt help im on training all week and have to get up at 7am to leave Caitlin to mums before tackling 2 huge motorways in rush hr traffic, meaning a 40min journey takes 1hr 40 - and my driving is verging on dangerous at the best of times due to nerves.

I flipping hope this is just a bad day! Hmph! No

Anyone else have false starts/sore braxton hicks in the last month?

Thats what im thinking Shev, it doesnt mean baby anywhere near on its way.
Its just a sore pointless thing!

If I feel like this on and off for a month il be an emotional/sore/tired wreck.

If I do go 2-3 weeks early (which I wont!) I'l cry and moan that I wasnt prepared - im working until 38 wks fgs!

Basically no matter what my body does it cant win. Im hormonally angry at myself tonight lol x

I did hun, it was around 35 weeks and I actually thought they were the real thing because they took my breath away and were really regular. Only lasted for about an hour and fizzled out though.

I didnt have any more after that though til the real thing and that was 3 days before due date.

I hope it is just a one off like mine, you must be exhausted working as much as you do with a toddler as well, hats off to you xxx

I've started getting more and more regular BH coupled with the odd painful "real" (it feels real) contraction. Yesterday I felt like the baby was hanging down between my legs he felt that low and I had awful period pain - if I wasn't pregant I'd have thought I was about to get AF (how is that fair on top of everything else lol)

Hey clare, welcome back!!!

Well nothing more has came of it. Having BH's at times but not sore anymore. Just feeling very full of baby iykwim. Would love a chilled out baby like Lucas, I deserve one after Caitlin lol.

Have resigned myself to the fact that baby wont be here before the 13th Dec... that way I have 1 more month to sort the house out Smile
