I woke up in agony Monday morning, my teeth and top jaw were really painful.

I saw a dentist Tuesday who asked if I've been stressed and i said no as i didn't think i had been, anyway he says i've been grinding my teeth. i'm due to go back tomorrow for a impression for a splint for night time.

I've been paying more attention to my jaw grinding and i constantly pushing my jaw together really hard this week has been really stressful a lot has been going on.

but the pain when i say pick something off the floor i get this painful heaviness in the top part of my jaw/head, do you think this is normal? I've been really stressed today and i also do it when i'm concentrating and I've been putting a chest of draws together.

TMJ..which is usually caused by grinding your teeth...you do it mainly in your sleep and can cause a whole whack of problems..headaches..eye pain/strain..and only way to curb it is to be fitted with a splint(bruxing guard) to wear at night.

The pain thing in your head/jaw sounds normal, when I've had wisdom teeth pushing against my other teeth I've had pain in my ears and jaw, it's all connected. Hopefully the splint will help x
