We throw all kinds of stuff at ours and I'm proud to say that nothing matches we use whatever lights work, usually White flashing ones as it'll be a real crimbo tree. But we do have an artificial one in the front room that kinda matches with pink stuff. So sorry, I really cant advise on tasteful trees xx

We have a green tree with millions of lights, I've got a thing about lights I'd rather have them than decorations lol! Ours is always red and gold but we have random decs that's don't match the colour scheme at all, mostly ones the kids have made!

I have a green tree with glitter, snow and pine cones on. Sound horrid but actually I love it. Then I have a heathery purpley pink colour and silver, irredescent and white. I'm fussy over my tree and love it! I have warm white lights on it

I am ridiculously fussy about my tree, I handmade felt decorations last year because I couldnt find any that matched the colour of our feature wall! We have a traditional green tree with lime green, dark green, brown felt decorations (mini xmas trees, xmas puddings, stars, stockings, gingerbread men), some brown baubles, lime green bows and this year (the first time ever!) some lime green tinsel with the usual candle lights on it. Hmmm that sounds all rather crap but it's not honest But yeah I would say white lights would be fine on a white xmas tree.

There are no rules to Christmas tree's..specially if you have kids. You can do a main theme color of course, I like to, but with all the personalized baubles and ornaments I've collected over the years from my kids..family..friends..it always winds up being a modge podge of everything. I think it makes the tree unique and special unto itself. xxx
