Have got such a sore throat today, feels like there's a massive lump in it and hurts to swallow. What can I take, I haven't got any honey and lemon in the house and the only paracetomol I have is calpol , is there anything else I can take to soothe it?

I had a really bad throat/cold when I was pg and took honey and lemon, paracetamol, halls soothers and plenty of drinks.

nothing else really, try some vicks or something in a mug of hot water and leave it in the room (ummm dont drink it ) but nothing else i dont think, grim isn't it!!!

Thanks ladies, took Chloe for her swimming lesson this morning which has cleared me out a bit and went for a mcdonalds after to cheer me up!

Got myself some paracetomol and think I will go have a warm bath with some Vicks in when she has her nap x

urgh hope your feeling better!! I had a bad cold and cough when I was preg was awful know how you feel!!!

I just drank warm milk and honey to soothe my throat. Feeling rough myself now so I feel your pain, would hate to be preg with it urgh!!

Mandy, when I was pregnant I used to drink hot ribenna or orange cordial, is lovely and although it doesn't contain any drugs it always made me feel better

i had honey and lemons and some sugar with hot water, infact i planning on one tonight, because i feel hot and cold.
