i'm not sure if i told anyone on here, but when i went for booking in appt i mentioend that i was having some movement feelings and she asked me to lie down and she tried to hear a heartbeat, but she said she coouldnt, although i think i heard smoething, but now i'm not sure...

i have scan on thursday, and i'm freaking out a little, i'll be glad when i'm there and i can see bubs.

but my spd has risen its head and i'm starting to hurt, thought i'd be ok till after xmas but hey ho, my issue for getting pg so quickly lol


but just wondering if anyone else had mw check for hb so early i was about 8/9weeks or maybe 10 i cant remember, (i've def got baby brain lol) and baby was ok at scan, i'm slowly freaking out...

Mine didn't check. i have my own doppler but haven't been able to hear heartbeat yet. i kn
ow some of the others found it quite early though, try not to worry thursday will be here quickly x

Thats really early to try and hear a heart beat!!!!! My MWs dont try until 16 weeks. I heard this one at 15 wks but before MW did it she warned me not to panic if she couldnt find it as it was still a tad early and depended on babys position etc. Heard it again at 17 weeks but even then it took AGES for MW to find and she was apologising. I wasnt panicking though cause as she was doing it I could feel baby wiggling lol.

Honestly I wouldnt expect to hear anything at that stage, not saying its impossible, but not something that most would hear.

Really hope scan eases your mind xxx

Clare I think it would have been way to early to hear anything hun, baby's still tucked quite far down at this point and quite small as well, you'll see upur little bean in no time and wonder what all the worry was about xx

I'd say if your SPD is flaring up then you've obviously got loads of hormones flowing which is a good sign. Try not to worry lovely xxx

maybe because you mentioned your feeling of movements the m/w wondered if you were slightly further on ? hence trying to find h/b
my m/w never tried until my 16 week appt and even then she asked me first if i wanted her to try as they dont always find it
i found mine at 11+4 i did try earlier but failed xx

thanks ladies, i know it was too early, but you know those nagging thoughts in the back of your head.

i'll be glad to have scan on thursday, ive not been well last couple of days with a cold, so i think a hot lemon and honey and early night for me.

but thanks for the reassurance certainly quietened down those nagging thoughts
