So, I was running late for work this morning and get stuck behind a learner lorry driver .

I overtake him and find myself behind one of those huge cement mixing trucks, which then splatted all of the front of my car in cement!! As you can imagine, I was fuming mad, but was running late so had to sort it out after I dropped Lily off.

After a few more little mishaps I get to work and something has clearly flown up my bosses arse and died as he is in a foul mood.

James then rings me as he took Aimee to her pre school Xmas party - it turns out its fancy dress and I didnt know! I was devastated!

I spent all morning at work bawling my eyes out because I felt like such a crap mum that I didnt know it was fancy dress . They even took a video of the morning to sell to the parents on dvd, so that just made it worse.

When I got to pick her up it turns out that some of the other kids were not in fancy dress, so I did feel a bit better.

But, at least its all over and I can chill out for the rest of the day. Well, I still need to take my car through a car wash to make sure all of the cement is well and truly gone. xx

that really does sound like a rubbish day!

Hope the rest of it goes better, and im sure amy will thank you one day for not dressing her in fancy dress lol

aww hun, i've been there and not known about things at school,
it makes you feel terrible, but if you didnt know there was nothing you could do and to me if other parents didnt know, sounds like you were not the only one not told.

Awww..I think all us Momma's have plenty of days like that. You do the best you can...and you can't remember everything all the time. Glad you are home and can put a period at the end of this day. Hugs and relax for the rest of the evening. xxx

Gracie's school forget to hand out the newsletters then wonder why things dont happen

i think we do all have days like that I am bricking it that I have to make Gracie's christmas play outfit she is one of the stars and I just know her outfit is going to look the worse as i have no arty talent at all x
