Thomas is really suffering with wind at the moment. He gets really upset and then trumps loads, I've been using infacol and massaging him and although he is getting the wind out he's still in pain I wondered if it's something I'm eating that could be causing it? Has anyone had to cut stuff out of their diet to breastfeed? Or got any tips to help? Thanks xx

Hiya, I think caffeine and the general things that give us wind are triggers, but every baby is different so it might help to keep a food diary and a wind diary and see if there's any correlation xx

have you tried gripe water for the wind? it's got fennel in it which should help calm his tummy, either that or a fennel tea for babies I'm not sure where in UK you can get it but it's quite common over here and it's basically the same stuff that's in gripe water but you give it as an additional drink.

or ummm Tyler was really windy and we just had to distract him enough so that he relaxed and then the wind came out... Finlay is a bit windy too but not as bad we just keep shifting his position and that seems to help.
