First topic message reminder :We went to Harrogate Flower Show today with the kids, Mil and Fil. Anyway - we had just paid in and MIL bought us all a coffee. I wandered off to look at a stall when I heard Abbie scream. I turned round to see OH fumbling with the straps on the pram and then I heard the word coffee

. The stupid lids on the coffee cup didn't fit correctly and OH was trying to put his on properly when he was knocked and it spilt onto Abbie.
Luckily we were not far from the St Johns Ambulance bay. Something must have clicked in me and I pulled her out of the pram and ran as fast as I could to them while pulling clothes off. They were brilliant and they kept calm while pouring cold water onto her and dressing her with a burns dressing.
Then next thing they put us into an ambulance and put the 'blues and twos' on to the hospital. When we were there the staff were fantastic and were really reassuring.
She has a 2nd degree burn on the top of her right leg and has a massive dressing on and we have to go to our local hospital tomorrow to get it changed. I am so pleased none of it went onto her face or landed on her 'bit's of bum etc.
Abbie was a little superstar and she was really, really brave. She had a long nap this afternoon and is currently tearing round the living room, seaming oblivious to what has happened today and her leg doesn't appear to be bothering her too much.
But OMG this has to have been one of the worst days of my life.
