| Just turned round from clearing up the breakfast stuff to see Milo touching Noah's head, he;s always so gentle but it looked just now like he was pushing really hard with his fingers on noah's soft spot.. Milo's in timeout, and Noah seems fine, but how would I know if Milo had pushed Noah's soft spot too hard and damaged him? Gah, kids are scary

| Hmm just googled it and it does say to not put direct pressure on the soft spot as we know but doesnt say anywhere what to look out for if it does happen...
If it was Dexter I think I would just keep an eye on him and see how he is but if you are concerned theres no harm in seeing your GP or HV
Sorry no help really xxx |

| Id be taking him to the hv or gp. I Milo was poking it he'd basically be poking Noahs brain Im sure theres no need to panic though and Noah would be screaming or someting if he did. Im really not sure. |

| Argh, it's scary isn't it! Milo is always so gentle, and always strokes his head so nicely. And as I reacted so quickly when i saw his hand on noah's head, I honestly don't know if he was just resting his fingers or pushing, if you know what i mean? So i have no idea if I'm over reacting or not. Noah didn't cry at all, or even look uncomfortable.. he's having a nap now (it's his usual nap time) and he seem really happy in himself, was smiling away. God, it's so worrying! I'll take him to the docs anyway as he needs his hips checked too. Thanks for the advice! |

| Thanks everyone. Kelly, they know how to worry us don't they!! Glad H was all ok!
Noah's up from his nap now and seems fine, but i've made an appointment at the doctors this afternoon just to get him checked over anyway to stop me panicking. Then I'm off to buy a baby helmet!! |

| Talk to doc if you are worried but dont freak out. The brain is surrounded by a very thick membrane called the dura mater as well as fluid and the skin of the fontanelle itself. Its unlikely Milo has hurt himxxx |

| Thanks Mario, that is reassuring, in a strange way! Just been to gp for a check over and she reckons he's absolutely fine, said basically what Mario said ^^ Suse - She said signs to look out for would be same as other head injuries - drowsiness, vomiting, irritable/can't settle etc (hope that's right mario?) I had no idea either, but i wasn't brave enough to google it! So now we know, I just hope we don't have to worry about it again! xx |
