i love freecycle !

i just got a black and crimson mclaren xt techno ( sp ) and its in fabby condition ! just put seat part through wash and came up like new !
also got a wardrobe/unit thing with the pink drapes for danielle;s clothes !
well chuffed !!!!!

god our free cycle is shit here! we have bubble wrap and plastic on ours!!

aww char ,, its crazy what ppl give away up here ,,,,, everything you could need for baby ,
fridge / freezers/ dishwashers /coookers/sofas

have even seen ppl offer whole ktchen and bathroom suites and many a car !

I need to get myself onto this!!!! Well done on your bargain!!

me too! today i got another bouncer chair, a changing station, cot mobile, 4 bags of boys 6-9 months clothes and a 2nd stage car seat

god i wish we lived on the mainland sometimes!
there so much better things that the island

i give a lot of stuff away on there, just got rid of a hoover, highchair, bouncer chair, chest of drawers and a desk.

i give away alot of things too , better going to someone ese than to the dump
tofday i have just got 2 go karts for the kids , dad picked them up for me so they going to be well happy when they come down tonight as some little shits in our area broke my kids green machine

i love freecycle got loads of gracies bigger toys from there and gave so much away some decent stuf and some real tatt tha i just think really why do you want it

only thing is i gave a pushchair away a brand new pushchair and a right chave in a real beaten up car proper dirty clothes came to collect it i know deep down its gonna be trashed in a few weeks as she said she had already been through 9 pushchairs, but the dyson hoover went to a lovely guy, you just dont know who is getting it

I never can be bothered with looking on freecycle think i need to start though.

what does annoy me with freecycle is what appears to be sob stories to get stuff , albeit some may be true but other ( ppl i know ) use their childs disability in their request

i had this for a dishwasher we gave away it was only a table top one but we had loads of i could really do with this i just split with my babys dad nd i need one or one that was my mum cant stand for long anymore and had just moved into sheltered accommodation

The sob stories are a bit pathetic, what has her splitting with her babys dad got to do with her needing a dish washer lol

I never get anything off the! Every thing i go for has either gone or they dont reply!

So is ours, everything is gone in seconds then somehow most stuff magically appears on the for sale forum or in the local rag for sale!!! It really irks me how people can collect something for free just to sell it, there are people out there who need that stuff, genuinely, like us, we need carpets, a sofa and a fridge freezer but after 2 years of trying to get these things off of freecycle we're having to ask a mate to buy us a new fridge freezer and we pay him back bit by bit. The new place we're moving too is carpeted (a bit crappily but still carpeted) so that's ok but camping chairs get a tab uncomfy after a while cuz our old sofa has to go now to the dump, it has properly died now (it was 10th hand when we got given it 4 years ago!!) xxxxxxx
