Has a lot of you know rich has special needs, a learning disability, his doctor old me when he was 5 not to expect anything from him, unless I put him on tablets.

Which I looked into and refused, to which his doctor discharged him till I came to my senses.

Well my 12yr old in past 3weeks as read The Hobbit, he can tell you everything that's happened and gives amazing detail, yeah he didn't get every word but he got enough.

He's now onto Charlie and choc factory since Saturday and is already half way through.

In so proud it may seem silly but I knew he could do it and it's made us even more determined to get him into mainstream.

No he doesn't get it, he just wants to watch the movie.

He's just come downstairs and he's 3/4 way through charlie and choc factory, he's really enjoying this one keeps telling me the funny bits lol

I couldnt read The Hobbit without falling asleep, so he has done great with that alone! x

That's really cool. At his age, I tried reading the hobbit and got barely halfway through before i lost the plot! I LOVED all the roald dahl books at his age. well done him, that is so so cool.

Good for you pushing for mainstream, am sure he can do it.
