do you think halloween is a big deal?? would you leave your kids on halloween for a day out? sam loves american football and his fave team are playing at wembley on halloween...now he's desperate to go...i'm happy for him to go...but i would feel bad going and leaving the kids on halloween... does that sound stupid? neither are old enough to do anything on halloween or understand it, but to me it just doesn't feel right...am i some kind of weirdo? lol

| I think I would leave hannah at this age. but if she was old enough to tell me what she would like to do on halloween I would go with what she wanted.

Halloween is a religious holiday in this house! NO ONE here is allowed to bail out on me with all the work I do setting up! Shayne usually takes the kids trick o' treating early..then comes home to help out with the scare fest. I even dress up to greet the kids at the door! Over there I guess it's different. You guys go all out for Christmas! xxx

over here it's no real biggie jen...but as kids we HAD to dress up for halloween, go trick or treating etc looks like i'm just sending sam to wembley with my brother while i stay with the kids...we don't have anyone reliable enough to look after them...considered asking my sister until she just said she'll take them trick or treating

I couldnt leave the kids if i am honest kenty. I take them halloweening every year even took San last year in a pumkin outfir and her was only 4 months old. I love it. It become a bit of a tradition now. We do the pupkins to put outside the puse with candles in and everything. But lumpy and lewis are still quite young so i suppose it wouldnt really make a difference to them lol xx

I couldnt leave them either, i always take paris trick or treating, depends on how cold it is, but Adam may need to wait in the car with his daddy, not everyone celebrates halloween tho, but if you have any doubt about leaving them, then dont do it

Personally I would be ok with leaving them, at their age they arent going to understand halloween anyway. Its different if they are 4+ and are looking forward to it .

the thing is i can't do anything special with lily-ann, she gets scared easily so taking her to a party would be a no-no cos of the noise, trick or treating is a no-no cos she'd freak out at the people and being out of her routine, so i would end up sitting on my own after they've gone to bed at 6.30 :? sam is now saying he won't go without me...but i know he desperately wants to go....stupid bloody decisions!!
