Are you supposed to give babies water as a matter of course or only if they need it (constipated or dehydrated)? With tyler we gave him this awful baby tea because it's the done thing here but I haven't given anything to finlay as he doesn't seem to need it? Someone said maybe he's drinking so much formula (12 oz.in one yesterday) because he's thirsty?

it might be because he is thirsty, i would just give him one bottle then if he wants more then offer water, i dont think he will be drinking too much formula sorry not much help x

I did give noah a bit of water, not to try and fill him up but to clench his thirst a bit

I started giving Jamie a bit of water occasionally but that's because he was bf and I wanted to get him used to bottles

I gave Lilly cool boiled water when she was constipated and even that was only a few oz's

Well his pooh is quite wet so he doesn't need it, I don't want him to not have the formula so think I'll just leave it
