i was reading that you are now supposed to sleep on your right side not your back of left side, i never heard of this when pregnant with the boys, so just wondering how many of you stick to it ? there is so much that is different now compared to 10 years ago when i was pregnant with dylan

I thought it was your left side rather than your right side. I'm sure I used to sleep on my right side and had to swap. TBH I couldn't lay on my back anyway (and have never slept like this) because it made me feel awful and I swapped sides through the night because it hurt too much to stay on the same side all night

I thought it was recommended to lay on left side too. There was an article linking to miscarriage and cot death but I think thats just scaring mothers to be for no reason. I couldn't sleep on my back anyway cause hurt too much but alternated sides, couldn't stay in one position cause of my hips.

they say try to keep to your left side but tbh it's just over cautious stuff...i've slept on my back, right side, left side, tummy and everything during all 3 of my pregnancies and never a problem so far

| I thought left too but i sleep most comfy on my right side. They don't recommend sleeping on back because it can squash a nerve that can deprive oxygen to the baby apparently (sopmething like that?)

ive just read this too! it said that they've done research that showed ladies who slept on there right side the night before giving birth had more still births!! but tbh i think that was unfortuantly the way it was gonna go if they slept on right or left! i understand not sleeping on the back or belly but im sure either side is fine!! x x

either side is fine really, left is better as you squish less organs if you lie on your back and bubs is laying on ure artery it can cut off oxygen to your own brain which obv in turn is not good for bubs. It happened to me once when I was being scanned... but Im pretty sure your body would naturally make you move or wake up if it was a problem. I slept on my back with Finlay and it never happened.
