Well as you can see from my ticker, our first ever little family break is soon here!

You all know im a panicky type, and im stressing that I will forget things that are really important for the kids, but as weve never been away from home, I could do with some help as to what is needed for tiddlers when away. Were staying in the lakes in a static caravan, on a Haven site x

On my list so far for the children is:

Clothes - shedloads, Shoes, trainers, tights, socks, knickers, nappies, pull-ups, wipes, paracetamol syrup, shampoo, baby wash, coats, juice cups, swim cossies x 2, swim nappies, arm bands, hooded towels for swimming.........erm what else???



Ive asked for bed 'sides' to be fitted.....but do you think I need a travel cot for Jess? Shes in a cot atm, but the travel ones arent comfy as they are, can I make it comfier?

Normal towels,
Favourite toy(s)
Bedtime stories
Do you need tippee cups / ickle cutlery?
Pyjamas
Bucket and spade?
Buggy, rain cover,
Bum cream

For living in a caravan:
Washing up liquid, tea towels, multi-purpose cloths
Breakfast food, tea, milk, sugar
Snacky stuff even if you plan on not cooking


A night light?
Do you have a portable blackout blind?
A removals van to take it all in?

I'm having similar worries about our trup and it's not until June!!

^^^^ theres a good list but i always find i take way too much stuff with me , if stuck for room in car is there a laundrette on site ?

alcohol for when girlies are sleeping
some outdoor toys ? bat ball ? cheap summer toys from tescos for just outside caravan ?

i found when we last stayed in caravan their idea of a cot was sticking a metal cage on the wall on top of the spare bed , the beds were narrow and very close together so if you were to take a travel cot then jess is more than likely going to be in with you or living area if no room for travel cot in double bedroom ( guess it all depends on size of van but this is based on my experience )
debs or paula have statics im sure , maybe they can advise better xx

i always take too much too and never use it i always let the boys pack a small bag of toys each to keep them amused, the good thing about being in our country still is that you can always find a local shop or supermarket if you have forgot anything x

I would be the same pack to much,but its better to have it there than going around looking for it. Entertainment for car journey , a pack lunch to take on journey too.
