| Personally I haven't seen anyone doing this before, but it would annoy me too, especially if the LO was crying. Knowing me I'd have to say something tho |

| I wear my headphones sometimes if we are going on a big walk and Eli is asleep or it's raining so he's in his nest haha but he is always facing me and I can hardly take my eyes off him anyway but yeah, your job is to look after your baby, if you're gonna do it, do it well! |

| I havent seen anybody do it either. I am too anal and would worry that I was going to get jumped by somebody if I had headphones on. ...well, that in addition to the fact I am a lazy mare and drive most places x |

| I haven't seen that, but what was just as bad (if not worse) was the people the house across from the road (I shouldn't judge but I will - they are proper chavs) One day I heard boom boom boom some car coming down the road with music REALLY loud...it pulls up outside said chavs house, its the dad, turns engine off and suddenly I can hear a baby crying, I mean screaming at the top of its lungs, and it was a very young baby too - he had obviously had the music so loud so he couldn't hear the baby ..... bastard!

| when lily-ann was little i used to walk to town(2 1/2 miles each way) to meet sam from work and i'd have headphones on...and i'd sing...but i'd be singing to her, making her smile and giggle and have it low enough so i could here if she whinged/babbled...so to assume because someone had headphones on they're not focused on their child is a little judgemental |

| Before you got to the bit about headphones I was getting paranoid, I was in Belfast today and it was bunged. Caitlin took a real strop after being put back in her buggy in Clarks and I was pushing her back to the car with her screaming like a banshee! You would have thought Id abducted her, snot and arms flying everywere!!! Got back to the car, put her in her seat with a book and she was babbling and laughing within seconds.... grrr |

i know hun but my point was that while the person may seem oblivious, i probably did and still do, they probably aren't...people watching me would have just thought 'stupid cow ignoring her kid' but i neer did, i'd sing to her and stuff...but people passing in cars or walking on the other side of the road wouldn't realise that. |

| I was saying the same to my OH the other day! There is a lady with a child at the same school as my boys who is always plugged into her MP3 which is usually loud enough for me to hear as she walks by regardless of what her little one is doing! Usually crying bless him! It does my head in! Its different if you are doing as Kenty has said but to just ignore him no matter what really gets my goat!
