| We made a special journey to Kiddicare in Peterborough on Tuesday to see the Obaby Zezu Pramette, which we fell in love with!
http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplay0_10751_-1_102274_10001
It was everything we would be looking for in a pram, but they only have 17 left in stock. I have just rung them to ask whether they will be getting anymore in after the 17 and she said that the Dotty Purple one has already been discontinued so her advice would be to buy it while they still have it.
Ive just rung OH to ask him what he thinks and he thinks we should order it and get it delivered to his mums, but im scared of jinxing everything. What would you do??

I bought my pram when I was about 4 months pregnant, I really think it's a load of old poo about not buying your pram early. If you are superstitious and don't want to keep it in the house, give it to a family member to look after until you need it x

I don't care about superstitions but i wouldn't rush into anything. I bought my pram too early and didn't properly look around cause i just fell in love with one but it wasn't a good decision and ended up having to buy another one. But if you're really really sure then go for it. x

Also i bet you'd still be able to get one on ebay later on, when items are being discontinued sellers buy in bulk and sell them for more on ebay.

Siobhan, I also saw this one in Kiddicare a couple of weeks ago and you're right it is an absolutely gorgegous pram and such a good price - if you're not sure then they have got an alternative coming out which is black but lined in lime green http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplay0_10751_-1_110553_10001 so maybe you could wait (if you like that one) Like the other ladies I'm not superstitous at all either so I personally would go for it (and I'm desparatly hoping they have some when we buy ours too!!!!!) xx

Its lush isn't it Susan, we asked the lady to demonstrate it and then we put it all back together and it was soooo easy. She did say there were some new colours coming out and that there was a Dotty Black one coming out too, so will see what OH says. xx

I have to say I'm with Mari on this one, I wouldn't say I'm superstitous but until I had seen my baby there on the screen I just didn't believe I was pg . I didn't buy either of mine anything until after my 20 week scan. This was partly because I'm a bit of a worrier and partly because I wanted to be sure about everything I bought and not buy on impulse. If I had bought my pram early and had it sat there waiting I would have got bored of it by 9 months and would also probably have seen a newer one come out and regret buying it early. I would say if you are 100% sure about it then get it but if you're like me and can't help yourself but continue looking then wait. How gutted will you be if once it is discontinued and a newer version comes out that it is reduced by £100? If it wont bother you then go for it xx

| Another thing to consider is that if it has a warranty of say a year you'll be wasting most of the that time if you buy it now. Prams can have their problems with bits breaking off etc sometimes.

Im not superstitious at all, and bought my 'first' pram at about 6wks pg (just so bloody excited, and why not, this is an amazing time so dont waste a moment!!!) However I ended up wasting a huge amount of money, because I kept seeing different 'pro's' to other prams! Therfore let me try and put some thoughts in your mind for consideration 1. Does the pram face forward and back? You need to see your baby if there a tad poorly, or have reflux etc. 2. Does it fold compact? 3. Is the seat easily cleaned? messy little blighters! 4. Are the wheels 'puncturable'? 5. Can you lift it easily? You made have a section! 6. Decent basket? When youve got kids, you never have a spare arm, so need a good basket! 7. Does it come with a compatible car seat? Does this car seat have a 'base' for the car? 'Bases' are fantastic - god they make life easier!! 8. How does it 'handle'? May sound daft but some are so horrid to manouvere! 9. Does it lay quite flat, for when baby wants a sleep? Or come with a carrycot attachment? 10. Does it 'tip' well? Try in the shops how it feels getting up a stair etc. Hmmm, that may be it for now - lol I made so many mistakes and wasted so much money!! I would say get the best that you can afford, and the one u really love. Or, you'll just end up 'longing' xxx

I'm another one who bought early without doing enough research and then ended up buying another pram when Wil was 3 months old. I also had a faulty car seat but because I bought it so early I had a bit of a fight with the manufacturer because it was 8 months old but Wil had only used it for 8 weeks when it broke. Great list Lisa - should turn that into a sticky somewhere for advice about prams
