Ok so i've heard a rumour that my boss takes money out of peoples wages if they leave anything less then 8 months after starting the job for the crb checks.
Can she even do this legally?

I would think they would only be able to do that if it states somewhere in your T's and C's niccsy.

there is no contract, only thing i have signed is a confidentiality agreement. The people that have been there years said they have never had a contract =o| hmmm! God its a pants place! x

in my old job, if you left so many months after you completed any sort of training you would have the training costs taken from your wages.
(even though they did pay for it! sly!!) but was in my T & C in the contract

do you have to sign a contract for it to be 'valid?' could she just print one off that she made up last night and say there it is kinda thing?!
and also, its not really training, its a legal requirement they do a crb check, it doesn't benefit me at all, so does it still count?

nah, any type of contract should be held by you or signed and in personel files, is this your new job or the older new job Very Happy

it should be in your contract of employment or your contract terms and conditions.

If not then a letter you've signed to state its ok for them to do the check which could hold that if you leave before a certain amount of time will be deducted.
