I would avoid the milk for a couple of days and keep her on water.

Milk will really upset her tummy if she has a bug.

Also keep her on foods like toast, applesauce, rice and bananas (BRAT diet) xx

yeah, keep it simple for a few days, you can get the rehydration sachets at any chemist - im sure you can buy them or get them for free on the minor ailments service http://www.boots.com/en/Dioralyte-Blackcurrant-6-Sachets_6229/

awww poor Ava Crying or Very sad Cerys was the same age when she had her first bug. We just gave her fluids, no milk (she just puked it back up). Add a bit of salt and bit of sugar to her water, that will replace any lost salts etc. Thats what my gp told me and he used to be a paedeatric doctor. Hugs for Ava xx

Wil and I also have the lurgy. Wil is drinking very weak juice and I have been adding tiny amounts of Dioralyte to it (he won't take a full Dioralyte because it is 'yucky' apparently) but mixed with juice he doesn't notice it.

Wil has been eating toast, popadums and pom bears - he is refusing other stuff (not like my little foodie)

We have stopped with the sickness and are now just on fairly regular runny nappies.

Going to attempt the BRAT diet when he wakes from his nap.

The BRAT diet really does work.

I found it online when Aimee was really ill last year with gastorentoritis (sp) and it is recommended by doctors.

She had a bad tummy for weeks after the sickness stopped, so I popped her on the BRAT diet and she had stopped having a bad belly within a couple of days.

took her to the docs and they've said its viral infection, just sad seeing her so docile instead of running around the place.
