I know you've all said it's probably viral and I know i'm being an overprotective worried mummy but her rash is getting worse and looks a bit weird, her face has flared up loads and the ones on her body have gone a bit funny. Does this still look viral to you?

it is a little puffy but she had a bit of a fall yesterday and smacked her mouth against the coffee table so it could be that.

i would take her to get checked over, could it be an allergy?

I've just been on google images so that you don't have to worry yourself and the closest thing I can find is Hives. The ones on the pic I found were caused by an allergic reaction to penicillin. Going to keep looking for you x

I've just googled hives too Lisa and I think you might be right, no she's not on antibiotics but she has had Calpol because of her cold, but the site I just read says it could be a reaction to food or as a result of a virus so maybe that's it. She's just gone to sleep so if she's no better when she wakes up I'm going to pop to A&E just to put my mind at rest. thanks ladies x

Dont worry about looking like an overprotective mother, they would rather see somebody like you with a child, rather than some drunk twonk who has a broken arm x

Oliver's only had a viral rash once but it didn't look like that, it was like little red dots

Maybe a food allergy? Eggs?

yeah id pop her to a and e too, in the meantime try giving her some piriton? oh gets hives a lot and he takes antihistamines for them...they can come up for no reason too and it does look like what she has ...hope she is better soon poor little mite xx
