After growth scan last week the sonographer made it sound like everything was perfectly normal with bubs even though his tummy is bigger than average and she also said that the amount of amniotic fluid was fine!

Well saw the senior registrar today and he is concerned that bubs tummy is bigger and also that I have more fluid than average! and wants me to have another scan in 2 weeks time! He also wanted me to have more bloods done as he is concerned about GTT etc! I didnt get proper answer about the reason for bloods last time with my apparently odd shaped blood cells! Still no reason for the pains I have been having in my back either!

Did ask about having a section and he said he cant see why I cant have one but will discuss it more fully at next appointment on 3rd Nov! Once I have had the anaesthetic review on the 1st Nov and my scan when ever they book me in for it!!

So now I am totally confused about how bubs is etc but dont want to google cause I will scare myself silly!

I hope everything is ok with Bubs, i know you must be really worried but im sure if it was any thing really serious they would tell you more or see you more often?
I did google it, its seems quite common but for different reasons. Hope ur ok x

Cheers hunni! Might brave google if its not too scary! I feel ok in myself apart from the pains but like you say am worried about bubs! Although like you say if it had been a major worry they would have made sure I got a scan today and seen me again at clinic sooner!

Are u preg with a boy hun?? My cousin had the same too ive just remember and they said his kidneys were enlarged which is quite normal, she had to go back for scans and they went down buy the time of the birth.

I know when my sister was pregnant with my nephew, his stomach was measuring larger than normal, but he was fine.

Dont google though hun, as sometimes that can send us all into blind panic.

But I wouldnt be too concerned Iv heard of peole having enlarged tummys at their scans and been kept an eye on and alls be fine. Not heard of anyone with problems.

I wouldnt worry about the growth scans (hark at me!) but Im just seeing it as an extra chance to see the baby. just prob making sure wont be too big.

Doctors are always crap at describing things aren't they! I think it's cause they know what they are on about and that's all that matters!

It was fab seeing him at the last one and I have proof that my heartburn hasn't been a waste as we could even see how hairy his head is already!!!

I haven't googled but am very tempted too! Have made sure OH knows that I am banned from google for a bit too!!
