Ive been doing random bps for last few weeks on my home monitor after the pre eclampsia last time. And i keep having bp spikes. Seems to def be headache related as have been having headaches all week too. Tuesday gone was 147/88 but went down by next day to 110/65. Over weekend its been up again 150/88 and 146/84 but has gone down again to 111/67 this morning. I know its too early for pre eclampsia yet but im worried about having bp spikes already as have been told the worse the pre eclampsia was and the earlier the onset the more likely it is to reoccur and mine was classed as severe and started at 19/20 weeks. Im not sure if should call my mw or not about it or if im just being a bit ott. I hhave had a couple of times where ive seen flashy bits in my eyes but im not sure if it was just cos id rubbed my eyes, basically im not sure how much im reading into it Any thoughts

I would keep an eye on it over the next 48 hours testing at 3 hourly intervals so you can get an average over the time then if its up more than it is down give your mw a ring and see what she can suggest but obviously having a wee one to run around after you are not going to get much rest so it may be raised slightly because of this i hope things work out and its not early onset of PE good luck and let me know how it goes xx

Does it coincide with anything else - sleep pattern, hydration e.g.? I don't think you can ever ask a MW too many questions, especially if you have a history of something - at the very least it is peace of mind. They only see you for a snippet of time when you could have a regular BP so either call for advice if it's worrying you, or if you're next appt isn't far off make a note of the readings to show her? x

Oh no, that's all you need!! I would give your midwife (or even consultant) a ring and express your concerns, if they are concerned then at least they can treat you for it, if it's nothing it will put your mind at rest. xx

yeah I would give them a shout if you have a good relationship with them. im worried that if i ever got pregnant again pe would be hanging over me too - hopefully you will manage to keep it under control if your bp is still dodgy but i can't see any harm in getting in touch
