I was in Tesco tonight with my OH while bought some beer for going to his mates tonight. While looking about I noticed you could get 2Lt of Tesco cider for £1.32 ! I thought it would be really weak but it was 4.2%. I do drink in the house at the weekend (bad mum!), and I dont complain at getting a bottle of spirits on offer at £10 but I thought that took the p*ss. Im not slagging people on benefits (Im one!) but no wonder so many people can stumble about with kids (like in Gemz post) if alcohol is this cheap. It also means that kids can get blocked for less than the price of a happy meal! Im getting old & narky....

£1.32???? Wow that's ridiculously cheap!!! I'm really boring, the last time I had any alcohol of any description was 4 years ago, and that was just a glass of champagne at my uncles birthday party x

It's ridiculous that you can buy a bottle of cider for less than a bottle of coke! No wonder so many kids are binge drinking. When I was 13/14 we used to drink white lightning at £2.50 for a 3 litre bottle it was more than enough to get 3 of us pissed, I don't drink at all now because it just doesn't agree with me anymore but back then I thought it was fab!

i think it's nasty, you can't get a decent bar of chocolate for that. i am a very anti-alcohol person, and when i see on the news the statistics of alcohol related injury/cost/death it is beyond me why they still sell it so cheap. horrible.

| there was a+thing with tesco that they are gettin sued due to the fact they was at one point+selling a can of beer cheaper than water. Tesco said they didn't want to do cheap drinks+or+drink offers but had to due to the competition between them and other supermarkets!
