Yep Amelia was 13 months and we had a 4 hr flight each way. I'm not going to lie, it wasn't much fun. She won't sleep unless she's in a cot or her car seat so she was over tired and full of mischief. I packed new toys for the flight. She had crayons, little stacking look through blocks, a book, plastic animals and a pram fan. I also found nibbles passed the time. She got through a load of raisens, cherry tomatoes, cheese, little sandwiches etc. We took her for a couple of walks up the aisles when she was bored, but saved them for close to landing time as otherwise that would have been all she wanted to do. Luckily for us our flight had spare seats so the crew moved us so that she had a seat of her own which was a life saver. The other passengers were really good at entertaining her too!

Oh yes and I wore bracelets as she was and still is obsessed with them. I made a complete tit of myself by wearing them on my ears, head, feet etc

We went over to France with Izzy in June so she was 16 months

She loved it - just took a few toys, but in general she was happy to eat and look around

thanx ladies, i took leo to france when he was 17 months, but we drove through the night so he slept most of the way. the next time we went on holiday was when he was 2.5 and even at that age it was pretty hectic so oliver being a lot younger im dreading it plane journey with a toddler 548646
he is the same lisag will only sleep in a cot or car seat, doesnt even really sleepn in his pushchair...i hope there are some spare seats so he can have one to himself and i will have to take plenty of snacks. if he was in a car seat he would be fine, he doesnt bother in the car but the fact he isnt strapped in wil cause problems cos he will know he can get down, well just wish me luck (and if all else fails, a bit of voddy in his milk should knock him right out Wink Laughing ) x

we took evan when he was 14 months 4 hr flight each way going was fine cos flight left 9pm so i took a bottle and he was asleep before the plane even got up in the air, as soon as the engines were put on he went out like a light and slept whole way
coming back he was awake most of way, we were seated right at front so plenty of space and he was able to stand there and play at in front of our seats, he got a bit whingy towards the end of the flight cos he was gettin bored and tired but it was honestly fine
