I have tots bots white fluffies (i think) white fluffy nappies with fluffies size one stuffy insert thingys, and biodegradible(sp) liners. and motherease covers (is that what they are called) my questions are, as above is she too young? so far we have had 2 nappies in 3 hours (1 poo) but 1 wee where it seems to have soaked really quickly, is this normal? Adam did put her vest under the waterproof so that was wet too what can i do to make them more absorbant? Thanks in advance |

Thanks in advance hey Jo - I have made this its own thread, hope thats ok, just easier! She isnt too young at all, yes they might look a little bulky at first, but its surprising how quick they begin to fill them! As per Zee's question, they will get better with washing. I haven't used that exact kind, but I am pretty sure they are very similar to what Lauraplus5 uses and she gets good innings with them on Ben! You should expect 2-4 hours with a cloth nappy Lol at Adam - thats the kind of thing Dan would do |

| Oliver usually goes a good 2-4hrs through the day, was about 2hrs'ish when he was younger though.
The only thing I can think of is that the Wrap/cover was gaping maybe? |

| i use them on ben and they are a bit bulky, especially when padded out at nights!! at night i pad them out, 2 boosters and a fleece liner and i get a whole night i tried a terrys on ben, i used the bat fold and thats what he is away to bed with tonight. it wasnt as bulky even thou it was well padded will see how it goes in the morning. i tried the freebie flushable liners with both ben and alasdait and thought it was as much use as stuffing the nappy with toilet roll, it broke into a mess and was a pain to clean off bums! i love my bambinex wraps and i have to say. i have several brands but that froggy is my fave, next to tots bots. i do use all Little Lambs brand for nappies, booster, liners and also their wraps and i get a good 4 hours out of them ~ |

| In that case Jo they may well require a strip wash - over time nappies can build up detergent in them and unless she was really good with rinsing them then they may have build up which hinders absorption.
Try this: wash as hot as they will wash at (60/90 probably) and use the normal amount of washing powder (no softener) Then rinse rinse rinse lots to get rid of every scrap of detergent.
Then when you wash them normally make sure you only use a small amount of detergent, a full load only needs 1/2 the amount, and if you do small loads make sure you adjust accordingly. Also never use fabcon, the ONLY 2in1 that is suitable for nappies is Bold 2in1 as its the only one that is clay based, all others will just bung up the fabric and they will be useless!
Hopefully they will then be more absorbent! |

| Yeh its not the detergent/wash type that matters - but if you use too much and don't rinse well then after a few months they become less absorbent as they are full of build up from the detergent |

| We just use the nuts unless they are very soiled. Saves that problem then too. Might get a few on a hotter wash today though |
