There have been a few posts recently about if you have a cough putting vapour rub on the soles of the feet, putting socks on and then the cough will go.

Well Bethany has got a cough so I tried it tonight and it hasn't worked.

Has anyone who has tried it, found it has worked??

Just the thought of having something plastered on my feet and putting socks over it..then try to sleep..LOL...just shuddered! xxx

It sounds horrible, I can't sleep with socks on anyway, but to put vapour rub on first

I use the plug in vapour things when Chloe has a cold, they seem to help a bit

OMG I feel like the worlds biggest dope having done this....when I said what I was doing I think John thought I'd gone mad. I saw a post about it in another section on here so thought I would try it.

I have a plug in vapour thingy too that I normally use, will revert back to the trusty tried and tested methods xx

I saw the post too and have heard of stuff like this being done..like those old mustard plasters they would put on ppls chests to help break up phelgm. Canadian researchers eh? That should just say enough on it's own! LOL! xxx

I must be a right plum too, cos I was going to give it a try next time I had a cough.

In winter I have to sleep with socks on otherwise I'm just too cold x

My dave done it the other night (well day coz he was on nights) when he went to bed coz he got a bad cough and it done the trick didnt hear him coughing at all

Havent tried it on my babies yet tho but i sure will do when they next have a cough

LOL - I have never heard of this!!! Sorry but this has made me chuckle, I keep imagining our LOs sniffing their feet just to get some relief from their coughs!! LOL

If one of my 2 sniffed their feet it would certainly give them some relief as it would knock them out cause they are stinky!!!! And thats without the vicks!!!
