Why why why why...? I went grocery shopping today to escape the house and took Makynlee with me. She enjoys the time in the store and is really well behaved while we are there. I actually was enjoying myself picking out buns and lunch meats(first isle) in all the quietness of it...when all of a sudden...a little first nations girl spots Makynlee and starts playing a cutesy little game of hide and seek with her. Makynlee was giggling away and babbling to her. I thought it was cute too and was making small talk with them both thinking the game would end eventually...Until...this same child starts following me up and down the isles..laying in front of my cart..holding onto my cart..trying snoop thru my groceries, pulling them out, and throwing them back in squishing my bread. Then she tried to take of Maky's socks..and run off with them. Now.. I am usually a very patient person, but where on God's green earth was her mom? By the time I ended up down the dairy isle(the last isle)..I just about burst a blood vessel in my twitching eye! I finally snapped and told her to go away now and find her mother, by then of course her mother appears out of no where to give me a dirty look that said - How dare you honky redneck woman speak to my daughter that way!! Do any of you whilst out and about find you are the target of stray kids? I am defo a stray child magnet!

I am a stray kid magnet and Ben even more!!! We always end up with all the manky neglected kids following us.
It irritates the hell out of me Jen!!!

Sorry but that made me chuckle. My oh usually gets the cling on child from nowhere!

Oh yeah we get stray grannies coming over to see ginge. We had a 'special' one in millets today coming over. I dont mind so much as long as they dont try to touch her, then i get a little feral

people still try and touch elijah in public, i think cos they like his hair...but it makes me want to vomit and punch them so we always just walk away now

Yuck when they try to touch!! Aron is that much bigger now and doesn't really like random strangers or being touched so its not so much of a problem! But when he was a baby it was a nightmare!!

Yeh we also get random old folks. Usually the ones who are slightly deaf and smell a bit!

I usually have to find a reason to walk away before my hackles rise and i start growling, neils quite good at spotting it and making excuses

Wish my OH was! He is so blumming shy he just melts into the background when we get a weirdo attack!! Fingers crossed he gets better once bumpy arrives he gets better!!

i'm a bit of a stray kid magnet too.

I detest strangers touching Ava especially ones with smoky fingers

yesterday when out shopping this old woman squeezed her cheeks and kept calling her 'it', it took full restraint on my part.

i used to try and be quite polite and tactfully move him out of reach but now i just either ignore them completely and walk away or one of us physically blocks the person...i dont remember any point in my life where it was appropriate to just walk up and touch someone!

I often put myself between the person and C. Luckily enough she now chucks a diva strop if anyone tries it

my oh always attracts the snotty nose wee smelling kids.

im a deffo a stray kid magnet!! i find random kids in my house and have no idea who they are... of course garry claims they are his "best friends" i must feed, easily, 4 other people kids a week. i have no idea who they are. iv took pity on random strays, whipped out the baby wipes, cleaned up snotty noses and filthy hands! i dont let my kids run round like that ffs :/

when we go to the wee estate part, its ME who does all the swing pushing, roundabout shoving and ball kicking. all the kids know me by name and all shout and wave to me as i drive thru out estate. i seem to be every ones mum!!

i dont mind it, i just dont like bad mannered, manky strays. clean them up and pap them out!

I must look terrifying and give of bad vibes as I never get this, with oldies or young'uns!

lol kids stay away from us, i think its cause russ is so tall he is scarey looking,

i also think they have an inner thing that tells them, run social worker, run pmsl.

LOL! I don't mind the old people coming up and cooing over her, they have always been polite and they have never touched her face, just her curly hair. It's the kids that get on my nerves, I never allow mine to run wild in the stores...well cept when we get the chance to hit up Toys N Us..but that's mandatory!! Laura, same thing when we go to the park, I find I spend more time entertaining other people's kids than I do my own. We could be the only people by the swings, or slide, and it wouldn't be but 3 minutes, till the strays are getting me to push them or help them up the ladder to the slide..making it impossible for Makynlee to have any fun because they "take over" the park...all this while their parents sit on their duff's, reading a book, smoking ciggies and/or chatting away to their friends. Seems I'm not the only Mom that has I LOVE STRAYS stamped on their foreheads.
