C came home from childminders today and we went to town with her aunty mel as shes unable todrive after a hip op. As c was hungry decided a treat was ok and took her for a mac d - she is allowed one about once a month, fish fingers and chips no salt and a small milkshake. Now daddy has announced he is bringing home kfc for dinner. Feel like such an awful mother letting her have 2 lots of fast food in 1 day

As pinky said, some kids eat crap for every meal every day. Giving them maccys or kfc is just a very obvious form of crap. Some of the food that's dished up to our nations kids is crap disguised as propper food ie ready made processed food from cheap supermarkets. I know all of my kids get good food for the majority of time but now and again if it fits in with what I'm doing they eat fast food! Ellie loves fish and chips from the chippy! Mario, enjoy your kfc, I'm dead jealous!

You are not a bad mum . You didnt know Neil was gona do that. Caitlin gets the same as C fish finger happy meal no salt. I think she has had it 3-4 times now and at first I felt bad (especially after posting on forums about it ) & then thought OMG its not poison - its food fgs! They eat fruit, veg, yoghurt all the time. It wont do a pick of harm, its only bread and chicken after all. Put your fish down for a bit and start proudly waving your 'my kid my way' flag!!!
