FFS he drives me up the wall sometimes!

I asked him to give Izzy a bath - cos he never does it, so he runs it and then asks me if its too hot so I say yes...to which he replies 'but its not is it!' Actually YES it is!

So I wash her bum and then put her in there and he sods off...so I'm yelling Dan come and bath her...so I do her hair while he comes, I come down for all of 2 minutes and he is shouting for a towel, I say I'll bring one when she is done...she is done he shouts back...I said for goodness sake let her play for a bit

Why is everything such an effort for him, he cant just DO it, he has to be TOLD..then complains I nag him. If he just did stuff, or did stuff when asked once I wouldn't have to nag, but he just wont do anything!

mine's the same, he's like a bloody fart

i think they do this on purpose so you wont ask them again!!!!!

Thats men - I've come to the ultimate conclusion - THEY'RE BLERDY USELESS..........
I asked James to watch Hayden yesterday ( mistake 1 he was on the computer!) So I goes upstairs, comes down about 20 mins later. Laughed and said "You haven't just sat at the computer all the time have you" (H is quite good and does occupy himself generally) - anyhoo I walk past H - fgs he's shite I shout in the direction of the lounge, wander into kitchen and H's emptied 3 cupboards!!!!!!
I went flippin' ape - then took H upstairs with me, not good trying to change bunk beds sheets
I made sure I asked him to watch him, thinking you know we are trained to think beyond ourselves... they are not used to have to think about anyone other than themselves!!!!

That's the thing Emma, they cant seem to think of anyone but themselves - its like they have NO responsibility unless its drummed into them!

Even now, Izzy is 19 months old, he doesn't know what to put in her bags to go out for the day. Everytime I have to tell him and then check he has put stuff in!

So basicall you really bathed her although he thinks he did! Men

Well he did her body and then let her play, but even when he said she'd played she cant have had enough cos she was really naggy getting out, which she never is when I have let her play long enough

He said she was cold.....she never gets cold when I do it cos I pour water over her shoulders!

Think it must be a man thing as my oh is the same with stuff around the house, I nag and nag then end up doing it myself, still love him to bits though

Yeh why do we still love them when they are so damn useless around the house?!

russ complained the weekend we do everything together and we cant keep doing it because we got much to do.

then tonight he arranged to go out with his mate to a casino, now russ doesnt go out very often, a couple of times a year, he could go out more but he just doesnt.

then tonight he says i dont want to go and i said why not, and he doesn want to leave me on my own lol

men i'm sure they dont know what to do, without clear instructions lol

i know the feeling hun martin is just the same he comes in from work ad just sits there playing the boody x box while i am running about like an idiot arrhh bloody men lol

Neil asked me to get up and help him get c ready to go to childminder today so i dressed her and changed her bum as he was dressing then took her to do her teeth and asked him to warm her milk. While she was drinking her milk i packed her bag up and he wanders in from his ciggie and said 'how on earth have you managed to get her ready to go out in less than 20 minutes it takes me at least twice that'

im not sure if he thought i skipped something lol

Hehe, I honestly think they do it so we don't ask again..but I just do the full on lecture first then he's good to go

But tbh, I can't really complain about my OH lately he's been a diamond

Although I do have to ask in the 1st place, when he does give our LO a bath, he's are in there for ages..he gets a bath/shower/jacuzzi

Gavs generally really good actually. The only thing is the dummy incident on a night time. Giving Alfie a dummy when he knows that he doesnt need one. Tonight he screamed when Gav tried putting him to bed without his dummy - in the end i just gave in and give him it as I especially cant be doing with the hassle tonight on my birthday!

Alfie used to be able to self settle realy well - i just dont understand why give him it suddenly? grrrr!!

I'm gonna piss you all off here and say that Rob is a very hands on dad, but only because he's had to be while I'm at work, and cos Harry has his bath in the mornings. In fact he's sometimes more organised that me, only sometimes though lol xxxxxx

Mines the same he cant get an outfit ready i have to get it ready its not hard to grab some clothes actually i dread to think what he will put him in xx

Think they do do that so u dont ask them again xx

Outfits, OMG don't start me on his idea of an outfit!

If ever i am away from work then i make sure to leave complete outfits to hand as somehow dan manages to put Lily in something that does not match and makes her look like a boy!

In response to your general post, my Dan is the same. Its not that he wont help but i always have to ask and sometimes i feel like i am moaning all the time. Also it is like he wants to just get the job done and not really thinking about whether Lily is enjoying herself - bath is key example as like Izzy Lily loves playing in the bath so i let her play for a bit whereas it seems like he wants to rush to get her out so he can get on with whatever he was doing.

I had to give my oh a tutorial on hannahs wardrobe and what matches and what doesnt. I actually held up tops and said now what would you match with this top? lol. Im scared I will die and hannah will be a tramp forever more

hes quite good with bathtime though I get a good half an hour to sit down or do some tidying then he gets her ready for bed.

lol. I remember I had been working night shift and came home and went to bed. my oh (whos a chef btw) woke me up to ask me what he should feed hannah for lunch I went bonkers.

oh everytime he goes to the shop he phones me to check hes getting the right thing. e.g. I asked him to pick up some miller crunch corner yoghurts and he phones me to say there are two flavours do you want me to buy the ones with the white and dark chocolate balls or the ones with just chocolate?

God they all sound the same - you do seriously have to wonder what would happen if we did die!!!
