When did you put it in the car?

We have got the maxi cosi and also the isofix base. The base is soooo heavy I decided to put it in at the weekend as I'm losing strength (I don't need the stress of James doing it when baby is born as he will fluff it up).

His sister wanted a lift to work tomorrow and I feel bad as there is no room in the back with the base and Aimee's seat.

I don't want people to think I'm being awkward but I can't face taking it out. It took me 45 mins to do it last time I put it in to test it lol x

We had a normal base with aimee, but, wow, this isofix one is ace! It's so solid and doesn't move an inch. It feels so safe. I'm even going to get a new isofix seat for Aimee as she has a normal belt one at the min.

I can say I'm impressed with it. But it's also not something I would want to pop in and out often as it is heavy x

We (or should I say OH) find the MaxiCosi Isofix base for the baby seat very easy to take in and out (apart from the weight) - we (well, OH!) moved it to grandparents' cars occasionally for short trips to avoid taking 2 cars.

I doubt we'll put ours in until about 39 weeks or when I have had a few signs that things might be imminent. But then hospital is only 5 miles away so if necessary OH could come home again for it (I know someone else who has had to do that). Last time I stayed overnight and OH got sent home at lunchtimes as well as that was "mother and baby rest time".

We haven't got an isofix base for ours so can't help you chick! But I don't blame you for not wanting to move it again if it's heavy!

I am not looking forward to teaching OH how to put the car seat in our car!

No base either, ours will prob. come to the hospital with us (I am hoping against hope that i don't have to stay in and will be out of there asap after birth!)

If having the base in already isn't causing too much faff I'd stick with it - one less thing to worry about and one less thing to have hanging about the house! x

I am going to leave it where it is. I never really have to take anybody out in the back of my car, so im not going to worry about it.

Its not like I will be doing it when I have two babies, so people will just have to get used to it now x

I don't blame you Laura!

The only reason we went for a car seat without a base is the faff of moving it from car to car and the cost! Plus I like to have bubs in the front if I am on my own and then he can go in back with the boys, who are already arguing who gets to sit next to him!!!!
