| hi all i'm 9 weeks 4 days and i've not seen a midwife, is this normal as i'm getting tired of work asking when i'm going for scan etc.
i thought of phoning the docs tomorrow and chasing it , but i dont want to appear as a nutjob lol and over sensitve, i want her to find this out at least after the first appointment lol.
just wondered what you all think, things are a bit different to how they were done 11 years ago |

| oh yes!!! lol well i have been bleeding for a week now i have had another scan and all was well, but still not reassured - as silly as that sounds, i just dont "feel" pregnant, im hopin i do soon, and that the bleeding is just to make up for the lack of morning sickness (whichi had really badly with all of my other 3!) coz if i had no bleeding then this would be a really easy pregnancy so far lol, but nothing is ever easy in my world, so im putting it down to that!! only got just over 2 weeks to go! woohoo, i hope they disappear quickly lol! xXx |

well i hope you resting when you can i know with kids its not easy.

| Booking appt is about 8-10wks, 1st scan = 12 weeks 2nd scan = 20 weeks Maybe one MW appt inbetween the two scans, then not seen again until 22-28 weeks?! (I'm not sure - I think I've missed one ) If you phone MWs direct (GP reception should have number) they should be able to tell you - and should know if referral has come through from GP. It's actually changed round here, I trekked to GP in pi$$ing rain to see an old fart of a doc who, among other things, told me "well, it's all just chemical at present, you could miscarry" only to find out there was no need and I could have booked direct with community midwives for booking appointment!! Hth x |

| When I went to my GP at only 4 weeks to confirm my pregnancy, my GP sent the form off for my 12 week scan and told me to book in with the MW for 10 weeks on the way out, which I did. Didn't actually see the MW until 11+6 and had my scan last week at 12+5. I got the appointment through for my 12 week scan not long after seeing the GP at 4 weeks. xx |
